April

This is how we spell our names in ancient Egyptian symbols, or hieroglyphs.

Here we are doing theatre with our friend Mme Laura. We played games. We were working on drama. We played a pirate game where we had to swab the deck, pretend to be sea sick, climb the rigging, jump in a life boat, walk the plank, etc.

Here we are making posters for the Earth Day assembly. We are painting posters because we wanted the school to know what we were talking about when we presented. It was really fun.

In part two with Mme Laura we were working on acting skills like walking heavy or light, direct and indirect or confident and sad. We also practiced different voices.

In part three we practiced one of the songs from Pirates 2 so that we would put on a good performance for our audience!

Here we were trying to figure out a puzzle with shapes. Mme Page, the math expert, helped us. The last problem was impossible.

Here we are watching a French video to give us ideas about what we can do for the Earth. There were 8 videos. We put together a book about these ideas.

This is when we presented our earth day posters and solutions to protect the planet.

Here we made a Comic Life homonym poster with a partner. These are also puzzle pieces that tell what we like our friends to do in order to be a good friend.

Mme put up our posters!

Here we are waiting for the show to start - Pirates 2!

Here we are performing the play Pirates 2.

It was so fun!

This is our classmate showing things she got from Mexico. We are studying Mexico.

Here we are making pictures with Tangrams. Tangrams are shapes you use to fill in pictures.

This is us making something and the other person has to copy it without looking, using the shapes. We have to practice our French vocabulary to do this! They give us hints and clues to help us.

Here we are planting seeds. We have 6 seeds that we need to plant: carrots, cucumbers, peas, parsley, lettuce and beans. We are going to check on them for the whole month of May to see how plants grow. We put our names on popsicle sticks so we know which ones are ours.
